The Effie awards are well known as ‘The Oscars’ in the world of advertising. The jury rewards the elements to which the profession owes its existence: a combination of creativity and effectiveness. We are therefore particularly proud to have received this Golden Effie award!
The award has been granted for a very important category: Brand Campaigns. A golden Effie is the ultimate recognition that our communication efforts have made a significant contribution to the growth of Hertog Jan as a brand. It’s also an acknowledgement of the unique and very successful partnership between Hertog Jan and The Valley. That partnership has been going on for five years now, and we have worked on a truly omni-channel campaign including commercials, websites, promotions, activations and sometimes even new products – all of which help to show what the brand stands for: For the Love of Beer.
From the jury report:
A growth in market share of 6%, which is almost from space. For a relatively small brand to make such great progress in a market that is under high pressure - that is a huge achievement. Hertog Jan has stayed true to itself. The campaign has been extremely consistent over the past five years and clearly demonstrates that brand building is a long-term project.
In the meantime we are already working on new projects for Hertog Jan that will keep up the success and kill competition.
